Hotel Shilla President Lee Boo-jin's eldest son, Im Dong-hyun, is said to have been accepted through early admission to Seoul National University.
According to Seoul National University on the 11th, Im was finally accepted in the early admission track for the economics department for the 2026 academic year. The registration period for successful applicants runs from the 15th to the 17th.
Earlier, Im drew attention after he was reported to have scored high on this year's College Scholastic Ability Test. Former Truth and Reconciliation Commission Chairperson Park Sun-young wrote on social media that "Im, the son of President Lee Boo-jin and a senior at Whimoon High School, supposedly got one wrong on this year's CSAT. I also heard that when he attended Whimoon Middle School, he never missed first place in the entire school."
Im graduated from Whimoon Middle School and Whimoon High School in Gangnam District, Seoul. He reportedly stayed at the very top of the entire school throughout middle and high school. Lee moved her address in 2018 from Itaewon-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul, to Daechi-dong, Gangnam District, for her son's education, then recently moved back to Itaewon.
If Im officially enrolls at Seoul National University, he will be an alumnus with his uncle, Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong. Lee entered the department of Asian history at Seoul National University in the class of '87.
