Singer Nam Tae-hyun (31), formerly of the group "Winner," admitted all charges at the first trial on suspicion of drunk driving.
According to legal sources on the 11th, Nam appeared at the first hearing on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act at the Seoul Western District Court that day and answered "That's right" to the question, "Do you admit to the charges?"
Nam is accused of driving with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.122%, exceeding the license revocation threshold (0.08%), near Dongjak Bridge in the direction of Ilsan on the Gangbyeonbuk-ro in Seoul on Apr. 27.
He also drove at 182 km/h, far exceeding the road's maximum speed limit of 80 km/h. He crashed into the median barrier, but there were no casualties.
At the time of the accident, Nam was in the probation period after receiving a suspended sentence of two years with one year in prison for drug use in Jan. 2024. He said his occupation is "an office worker for now."
