Police have booked broadcaster Park Na-rae, 40, over alleged power abuse of her managers.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said on the 9th that it received on the 8th a complaint from former managers who filed charges against Park for aggravated injury, defamation by stating false facts, and violation of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection (defamation).
Park's former managers claim they suffered workplace bullying, verbal abuse, aggravated injury, proxy prescriptions, and unpaid production expenses from Park. They also said they were effectively on call 24 hours a day after being told to run errands for side dishes, clean up after parties, and attend forced drinking gatherings.
They filed for a provisional attachment of real estate with the Seoul Western District Court on the 3rd. It was also reported that they are preparing to file a damages suit worth 1 billion won over harm suffered while employed at Park's agency.
Park said on social media on the 8th, "I was able to meet the former managers in person yesterday (on the 7th), and while we were able to resolve the misunderstandings and mistrust between us, I still believe everything is my fault and I am reflecting deeply."
