A parent in their 30s was taken into custody by police after going to a school and causing a disturbance over dissatisfaction with how the school handled the child's school violence case.
On Dec. 5, Jinju Police Station in South Gyeongsang said it booked a man in his 30s, identified as A, without detention on suspicion of special intimidation.
A is suspected of visiting an elementary school in Jinju around 12 p.m. on the 3rd while carrying a blunt weapon and using abusive language.
The parent reportedly believed the school had not properly handled the child being subjected to school violence and carried out the act for that reason.
At the time of the incident, a teacher felt anxious and called the police. Police said they plan to investigate A and others to determine the exact circumstances of the case.
