Jeon In-geon, director of the Kansong Art Museum, is being investigated by police on suspicion of failing to pay settlement money to production companies that took part in an exhibition.
Seoul Jungbu Police Station said on the 5th that it will summon Jeon on the 11th as a suspect on fraud charges. Police said they have received a criminal complaint accusing Jeon of fraud and are investigating.
Jeon is understood to have been sued in October on suspicion of not paying settlement money to four production companies that took part in an exhibition she hosted in August.
Along with the complaint, the companies also reportedly filed a damages lawsuit against Jeon in court.
The Kansong Art Museum is the country's first private art museum, founded by Jeon's grandfather, Kansong Jeon Hyeong-pil.
