A claim that a professor at Dongguk University made inappropriate physical contact with a student has emerged, and the school is investigating, according to reports on the 24th.
According to Dongguk University on the 24th, on the 20th the 1st to 3rd student councils of the Department of Cultural Heritage Studies posted a wall poster on a campus bulletin board alleging that Professor A repeatedly sexually harassed and molested students.
According to the wall poster, Professor A allegedly touched a student's body and made sexually harassing remarks at a post-field survey gathering in Dec. 2023.
A Dongguk University official said, "Early this year, the matter was formally filed with the human rights center, and we investigated the complainant and the respondent. After going through the faculty personnel committee, the board of directors will decide early next month whether to impose disciplinary action."
