A crash occurred at about 4:35 a.m. on the 18th when a freight truck tipped onto its side near the Singal junction on the Gyeongbu Expressway toward Seoul in Giheung District, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
There were no injuries, but the vehicle and its cargo fell onto the road, and the accident response is underway. Traffic is restricted on two of the three lanes, causing disruptions in the area.
The Korea Expressway Corporation (KEC) sent an emergency safety text message asking motorists to use the Suwon-Singal IC on the Gyeongbu Line and the Yongin-Seoul Expressway due to the crash.
The freight truck driver, a man in his 60s, reportedly sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital.
Police said, "As it was a single-vehicle crash, we will first complete on-site measures and then investigate why it occurred."
