Comedian Kim Su-yong, 59, lost consciousness during filming and was taken to a hospital.
Kim Su-yong collapsed while filming YouTube content in Gapyeong County, Gyeonggi, on the 13th afternoon and, after CPR and other measures were performed, was transported to the emergency room at Hanyang University Guri Hospital.
Kim Su-yong's agency, Medialab Seeso, said on the 16th, "Kim Su-yong has undergone tests and treatment and has now regained consciousness and is recovering. He can use his phone and can speak."
Kim Su-yong entered broadcasting after placing in the first KBS University Comedy Contest in 1991. He is a seventh-term comedian hired through KBS's open recruitment. He is active on YouTube channels including "Jodongari." His father, Kim Gwan-yeop, was a physician and died in Mar. last year. He served as a professor at Inje University and later as director of Inje University Sanggye Paik Hospital.
