Sunday the 16th will be mostly clear, but light rain will fall from the late afternoon, mainly in the central region.
Expected rainfall is less than 5 mm in the Seoul metropolitan area and Gangwon Province, and around 1 mm in the Chungcheong region and North Jeolla. In mountainous areas of Gangwon Province above 1,000 m above sea level, some places will see snow instead of rain. Morning lows are forecast at 0–10 degrees, and daytime highs at 15–21 degrees.
Inland areas will see large temperature differences of around 15 degrees between day and night, so take care of your health. Fine dust levels nationwide will be at "good" to "moderate." However, Seoul, Incheon, and southern Gyeonggi are expected to see temporarily "bad" levels at night due to inflow of overseas fine dust.
A dry weather advisory is in effect mainly along the Gangwon east coast, where the air will be very dry and winds will be strong, so take precautions against fires, the Korea meteorological Administration urged.
Waves will run 0.5–3.5 m on the East Sea nearshore, 0.5–2.5 m on the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5–1.0 m on the South Sea nearshore. On the inner offshore (the offshore within about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 0.5–3.5 m in the East Sea, 0.5–3.0 m in the West Sea, and 0.5–1.5 m in the South Sea.
