On the 14th, the ninth day since the boiler tower collapse at Korea East-West Power (EWP)'s Ulsan Thermal Power Plant, fire authorities found the last missing person, a person in their 60s.
Fire authorities said they confirmed the location of the missing person, a person surnamed Kim, 62, at around 8:49 p.m. that day. They are currently approaching for recovery and rescue.
Fire authorities have continued a 24-hour search, removing steel structures.
On the 6th at around 2:02 p.m., at EWP's Ulsan Thermal Power Plant, Unit 5 of a boiler tower measuring 63 meters high, 25 meters wide, and 15.5 meters long collapsed. After the accident, two people were rescued alive, but seven were buried. Of the seven buried, six died, and Kim was the last missing person.
