The Hanwha Eagles of professional baseball will hold a large-scale fireworks event to mark the club's 40th anniversary.
Hanwha Eagles said on the 13th, "At 7 p.m. on the 30th, near Expo Park on Gapcheon in Daejeon, we will hold a fireworks event to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the club's founding." The event will feature a multimedia drone show and a fireworks show lasting about 30 minutes.
From 4 p.m. on the day of the event, a team autograph session will be held for fans who sign up for the 2025 season membership. The exact location has not yet been decided, and detailed schedules and how to participate will be announced later through the club's official social media.
"With the team, citizens, fans, and guests in attendance, Hanwha Eagles CEO Park Jong-tae will open the festival with a welcome address," the overview of the event explained, "and Daejeon Mayor Lee Jang-woo, who is supporting the event, will deliver remarks to congratulate the Hanwha Eagles on the 40th anniversary of the club's founding."
Hanwha Eagles CEO Park Jong-tae said, "The ultimate purpose of running the club is to bring joy and happiness to the lives of fans and local citizens," and noted, "As part of that, we prepared the festival to give back the love we have received from fans and Daejeon citizens over the past 40 years."
The event is hosted by the Hanwha Eagles, and the Daejeon city government will provide traffic and safety management support.
