The Ministry of Personnel Management released next year's schedule for open competitive recruitment exams for national civil servants on the Government Service Recruitment System on the 6th.
The targets of the national civil service open recruitment exams released that day are Grades 5, 7, and 9, as well as candidates for diplomat.
Next year's first-round exam for Grade 5 and candidates for diplomat will be held on Mar. 7, the first-round exam for Grade 7 on Jul. 18, and the written exam for Grade 9 on Apr. 4.
The Ministry of Personnel Management said it coordinated this schedule with those for national, local, and specific-service civil servant recruitment exams, as well as national technical qualification exams. The aim is to expand candidates' opportunities to sit for exams and avoid overlaps with other civil servant recruitment and qualification exam schedules. To that end, it went through the "Exam-Administering Agencies Council," which includes major exam-administering agencies within the government.
Choi Dong-seok, minister of the Ministry of Personnel Management, said, "We informed test-takers of the annual exam schedule in advance so there would be no inconvenience in preparing for the exams," and added, "We will do our best to ensure the exams are administered fairly and safely."
Meanwhile, detailed exam information, including the planned number of recruits by exam and job series, exam subjects, and eligibility criteria, will be announced in early January next year on the Ministry of Personnel Management website, the Government Service Recruitment System, and the Cyber State Examination Center.
