Lee & Ko (managing partner Kim Sang-gon) said on the 5th that it has hired Heo Hoon, former head of the Public Investigation Department at the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office (35th class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute).
Attorney Heo Hoon graduated from the Department of Law at Korea University and received a master's degree in law from the Department of Labor Law at the Graduate School of Labor Studies at Korea University. Heo began as a prosecutor at the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office and served as head of the Miryang Branch of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, head of Criminal Division 1 at the Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office, and head of the Public Investigation Department at the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office.
While serving as a prosecutor, Attorney Heo Hoon investigated cases including the Aricell fire disaster, the Dayou Winia Group wage arrears case, and the union-busting case at Samsung Electronics Service. He also obtained Level 2 certification (Blue Belt) as a certified specialist prosecutor in the labor field. He authored a commentary on penalties for violations of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office.
Attorney Heo Hoon is expected to handle labor and serious accidents matters in Lee & Ko's criminal group.
