Lee & Ko said on the 4th that it has hired former National Assembly Secretary-General Lee Kwang-jae as a senior advisor.
The advisor served as Blue House director of national situations under the Roh Moo-hyun administration and as a lawmaker in the 17th, 18th and 21st National Assembly sessions, and he also served as the 35th Gangwon governor and the 35th National Assembly secretary-general.
Drawing on extensive experience and expertise, the advisor plans to take part directly in Lee & Ko's overall social contribution activities. Lee & Ko has provided various legal support on issues such as protecting North Korean defectors and helping them settle in Korea, enabling single mothers to become self-reliant, and international refugees. It has also contributed to society in various ways, including supporting young students living in remote rural and island areas.
The advisor will also join Lee & Ko's Start - Up team to provide legal support to boost Start - Up formation. The firm said advisor Lee Kwang-jae long served as vice president at the think tank Yeosijae (now Taejae Future Strategies Institute) for national future strategy, building diverse research experience.
