Seoul City said on the 3rd that 6,138 people boarded the Hangang Bus on the first weekend since service resumed. On the first day of resumption and Saturday, the 1st, there were 3,261, and on Sunday, the 2nd, there were 2,877.
By route, there were 3,014 to Magok and 3,124 to Jamsil over the two days. During some afternoon hours, demand surged and Hangang Bus boarding closed out.
Seoul City said punctuality also improved by enhancing the Hangang Bus's safety and docking and undocking proficiency through about a month of passenger-free trial runs. On the first day, the Hangang Bus that departed Jamsil at 9 a.m. entered Oksu Station at 9:37 a.m.
After that, the vessel departed on time at 9:39 a.m., and after arriving at Yeouido Pier, it departed on time for the next stop, Mangwon Pier, at 10:23 a.m.
The Hangang Bus departs daily at 9 a.m. and serves seven piers in total—Magok, Mangwon, Yeouido, Apgujeong, Oksu, Ttukseom, and Jamsil. It runs 16 times a day at 1-hour-30-minute intervals on weekdays and weekends.
