Jensen Huang, Nvidia chief executive officer (CEO), and Lee Jae-yong, Samsung Electronics chairman, are drawing attention for their chicken "deboning skills."
On the 31st, videos of Huang and Lee eating chicken were shared on online communities and social media (SNS). On the 30th, they had a "chimaek (chicken and beer)" get-together at a chicken restaurant near Samseong Station in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Chung Eui-sun, Hyundai Motor Group chairman, also joined them.
In particular, the way Huang and Lee deftly picked the meat off the chicken drew attention. Lee grabbed the chicken wing with both hands, snapped it, started with the cartilage, and neatly stripped the meat in his mouth.
Huang, seated across from Lee, also showed off advanced deboning skills, popping a piece of chicken into his mouth and spitting out only the bone. He even sucked the oil off his fingers.
Internet users who saw them eating chicken reacted by saying, "So that's how you get rich," and "I'm ashamed of how sloppily I used to eat." According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Huang's wealth is estimated at $176 billion (about 251 trillion won). It is 10 times that of Chairman Lee Jae-yong ($16.1 billion). Chairman Chung is not ranked, but as of September, the value of the affiliate assets he holds was tallied at 5.578 trillion won.
