As U.S. President Donald Trump departed on the 30th after a 2 Days & 1 Night visit to Korea, U.S. White House Spokesperson Karoline Leavitt (28) was seen the previous day (the 29th) on Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju. Leavitt also watched as the conservative-leaning group "Freedom University" marched waving the Stars and Stripes.
A video posted on the YouTube channel "Freedom Dream TV" on the 29th shows Spokesperson Leavitt watching members of "Freedom University" march in front of an Olive Young store on Hwangridan-gil in Gyeongju.
The protesters held large Taegeukgi and U.S. flags and, as they marched, beat drums and chanted slogans such as "Lee Jae-myung, vacate the room." They also carried a large banner reading "Koreans Love Trump." Spokesperson Leavitt watched the march with a smile and filmed the scene on a mobile phone.
In a live video filmed by the YouTube channel "Elon Musk," Spokesperson Leavitt was captured waiting to order at a gelato shop on Hwangridan-gil.
When a YouTuber said in English, "I love Trump," Spokesperson Leavitt smiled and said, "We love Trump, too." When the YouTuber then said, "We are marching for freedom," Leavitt replied, "I saw."
That night, Spokesperson Leavitt posted a "proof" photo on her Instagram showing she had bought Korean cosmetics. She also wrote, "south korea skincare find." They included MEDIHEAL sheet mask packs, VT Cosmetics spot care patches, Medicube sunscreen and pore pads, Beauty of Joseon cleansing oil and cleanser, sunscreen, Torriden serum, Bring Green soothing cream, Round Lab sunscreen, and goodal green tangerine serum. The cosmetics appear to have been purchased at Olive Young.
Spokesperson Leavitt was born in 1997 and has been active in politics since her college years. After President Trump won reelection, she was appointed White House Spokesperson at age 27, setting a "youngest ever" record.
When Spokesperson Leavitt was seen in front of Olive Young and at the gelato shop, Communications Special Assistant Margo Martin (30) was beside her. Martin accompanies President Trump at major events and posts photos and videos on social media.
