Topten Kids, a childrenswear brand under SHINSUNG TONGSANG, issued an official apology over the use of inappropriate English wording on some products. The items have now been fully pulled from sale and recalled.
On the 30th, Topten Kids said, "The failure to properly review the wording is clearly the brand's responsibility," and "We extend our deepest apologies to our customers."
The product in question is "Infant Cha Yoon Art fleece set-PINK," made in collaboration with an external artist.
Upon recognition the same day, Topten Kids immediately halted sales across all online and offline distribution channels and completed procedures to recall all units.
Topten Kids said, "As a brand that makes products for children, we take seriously that we failed to fulfill basic responsibilities," and "We will use this incident to fundamentally overhaul the review process for all product designs and wording."
Topten Kids is currently issuing full refunds to all customers who purchased the product, regardless of the time of purchase.
