A man in his 30s from Pakistan was arrested by police on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault a male middle school student after buying him a hamburger and luring him to a home. However, the man reportedly said the student first asked him to buy a hamburger and that there was no intent to commit sexual assault.
On the 29th, Incheon Seobu Police Station said it had arrested a man in his 30s from Pakistan, identified as A, on suspicion of luring for the purpose of sexual intercourse.
A is suspected of buying a drink and a hamburger for a middle school student, identified as B, in front of a convenience store in Seo-gu, Incheon, at about 9:30 p.m. on the 21st, then taking B to a Pakistani friend's home and attempting sexual intercourse.
In a police interview, B said, "A asked to see body parts and demanded sexual intercourse."
B's parents learned of the suspected harm on the 27th and called 112. Based on closed-circuit (CC)TV footage from the scene, police determined there had been actual luring and urgently arrested A.
A reportedly said, "B first asked me to buy a drink and a hamburger," and, "We only went to my friend's home to eat; I had no intent to have sexual intercourse with B."
A police official said, "We requested an arrest warrant considering that A's residence is unclear," and added, "A and B's statements conflict, and we plan to investigate the specific facts."
