At about 7:20 p.m. on the 20th, a post reading "I will bomb the Samsung Electronics headquarters" appeared on the 119 web reporting center, prompting police to launch a search.
The poster reportedly left the bomb threat while mentioning the person's name and situation.
Considering that the post did not specify a particular location, police shared the information with regional police agencies in areas with Samsung Electronics business sites outside Suwon and are conducting a joint search.
A police official said, "Given the strict entry procedures for accessing Samsung Electronics' premises, the security level is very high, and the likelihood that an actual explosive was planted appears low."
Police are tracking a virtual private network (VPN) and other leads to find the suspected poster and verify the facts.
