YouTuber Tzuyang (legal name Park Jeong-won), who was blackmailed and extorted by a "cyber leaker," appeared on the 14th as a reference witness at the National Assembly audit of the Broadcasting, Media and Communications Committee and said, "The speed at which the related videos spread was extremely fast, and even if procedures to delete them took place, it was very hard to clear up misunderstandings when hundreds of thousands of people watched them in just one day," adding, "Some videos were taken down in as little as a week, while others were never removed."
On this day, Tzuyang answered a question from Choi Hyeong-du of the People Power Party, who asked whether YouTube responded quickly to the issue. Tzuyang said, "At the time of the harm, I was so scared and overwhelmed that I couldn't do anything."
In response to a question from Kim Jang-kyom of the People Power Party about the litigation process, Tzuyang said, "I am so grateful that many people took an interest in the case, and many helped," but added, "For ordinary citizens, it would be difficult to secure the expense for (a lawsuit) while making a living."
