Yoon & Yang LLC (Managing Partner Lee Myung-soo) said on the 29th that it has recruited Adviser Park Jin-gyu, who served as Vice Minister at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy under the Moon Jae-in administration.
After graduating from Daejeon Daeshin High School and the economics department at Seoul National University, Adviser Park passed the 34th civil service exam. Over 31 years in public service at the ministry, he served as head of the overarching policy division at the Electricity Regulatory Commission, director-general for trade policy, head of the Trade Investigation Bureau at the Trade Commission, director-general for trade policy, and Deputy Minister for Planning and Coordination. He also served in the Moon Jae-in administration as Blue House secretary for trade and secretary for the New Southern and New Northern Policies, before serving as Vice Minister at the ministry.
After retiring in 2022, Adviser Park took a special professorship at Korea University's Industry-University Cooperation Center. He also served as an outside director at large corporations.
Yoon & Yang plans to provide tailored advisory services on energy and trade aligned with the Lee Jae-myung administration's policy direction by bringing on Adviser Park.
