Kazakh nationals in their 20s who fought using blunt weapons, including a hammer, were arrested by police.
The Eumseong Police Station in North Chungcheong Province said on the 28th that it arrested two people, including A, on charges of violating the Act on Punishment of Violent Acts, and plans to book without detention two others, including B, on the same charge.
The Kazakh nationals are accused of fighting at 12:07 a.m. on the 21st in the ground-level parking lot of a villa in Saenggeuk-myeon, Eumseong-gun.
A and others are said to have called B, with whom they had a poor relationship, and others out after passing near the villa where they live. The fight reportedly began after B and an associate came out holding a hammer and a steel pipe.
The two who were arrested fought B and others with their bare hands, and B, who was holding a hammer, reportedly fell to the ground and hit the head, sustaining an injury.
A police investigation found that all of them were staying in the country illegally.
When the investigation began, police arrested and detained A, who had fled, and reportedly handed over three of A's companions who were at the scene but did not join the fight to the immigration office.
