The Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 26th announced 1,685 final passers for this year's first local civil service appointment exam.
Of all those who passed, 1,585 are Grade 9 and 100 are Grade 8 (nursing). By job group, 1,122 are in administration and 563 are in science and technology.
By gender, men account for 41.6% (701) and women 58.4% (984).
By age group, those in their 20s were the largest at 54.8% (924). They were followed by those in their 30s (35.8%·603), 40s (7.5%·126), 50s (1.9%·30), and teens (0.1%·2). The youngest passer is a man born in 2007, and the oldest is a man born in 1966.
In addition, the Seoul Metropolitan Government selected 192 people including those with disabilities and from low-income households. To expand opportunities for socially disadvantaged people to enter public service, it recruited applicants with disabilities and low-income test-takers separately from general applicants.
Meanwhile, the written test for Seoul's second appointment exam, which will openly recruit 196 people including Grade 7 general administration, will be held on Nov. 1. The final passers are scheduled to be announced on Jan. 7 next year.
