On Seoul Subway Line 2, a woman intentionally blew and popped bubble gum in front of other passengers' faces, drawing public outrage.
On the 25th, a video titled "A middle-aged woman harassing passengers with bubble gum on Subway Line 2" was posted on an online community. In the video filmed inside the subway, a middle-aged woman in a dress approaches a seated man and blows and pops bubble gum right in front of his face.
When the male passenger, startled, moved away, the woman went to the opposite seat and did the same to another man. Repeating this "bubble gum attack," the woman appeared to smile, seemingly satisfied when the men showed surprise or wiped off the saliva that splattered, while passengers, looking uncomfortable, moved away.
Internet users reacted by saying, "Is this really Korea," "The subway police should be called," and "Line 1 is already overflowing with 'villains.'"
