Police raided the home and company of the daughter of Jeon Kwang-hoon, pastor of Sarang Jeil Church, on suspicion that she was also behind the disturbance at the Western District Court.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's security investigation unit said on the 23rd that it was conducting searches and seizures of residences and other locations for two suspects, including the CEO of The&J, on suspicion of abetting special unlawful entry into a building. The&J operates the online shopping mall "GwanghwamunON," which sells health foods and groceries, and its current CEO is Pastor Jeon's daughter, Hanna.
In the course of investigating Pastor Jeon in connection with the Western District Court incident, police reportedly found indications that Hanna may have incited the violent intrusion, and on this day searched her residence and office.
On Jan. 1, when an arrest warrant was issued for former President Yoon Suk-yeol at the Seoul Western District Court, a violent disturbance broke out. Police received several complaints alleging that Pastor Jeon incited attendees at a rally held in front of the Western District Court and launched an investigation. On the 5th–6th of 4th, they also searched and seized Sarang Jeil Church; Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon; and Shin Hye-sik, CEO of Sinuihansu, among seven people, securing related evidence on charges including abetting special unlawful entry into a building. However, Pastor Jeon's side claims it is unrelated to the Western District Court incident.
