A YouTuber woman in her 30s who allegedly tried to kill a man in his 30s by stabbing him multiple times with a weapon while he was hosting a live internet broadcast has been arrested by police.
Bucheon Wonmi Police Station said on the 20th that it had urgently arrested a woman in her 30s, identified as A, on suspicion of attempted murder and is questioning her.
According to police, at about 2:50 a.m. that day, A is suspected of attempting to kill a man in his 30s, identified as B, who was doing an internet broadcast, by stabbing him with a weapon on the stairs of a commercial building in Wonmi District, Bucheon, Gyeonggi. B suffered injuries to his abdomen and hands and was treated at a hospital, but his life is not in danger, according to reports.
Immediately after the crime, A called 112 to turn herself in and was urgently arrested by police at her home.
During police questioning, A reportedly said, "I know B, and I did it in a fit of anger (stabbed with a weapon)."
The internet broadcast that B was hosting reportedly did not show A's attack itself. However, it is said to have captured A's swearing and B, who was stabbed with a weapon, writhing in pain.
Police said they are "conducting further investigation into the specific motive," adding, "We will seek an arrest warrant for A."
