A woman in her 30s who caused a five-vehicle pileup while driving under the influence and injured a pregnant woman was caught by police.
On the 20th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul said it arrested driver A at the scene on suspicion of violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving) and is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Around 10:32 a.m. that day, A is accused of driving in the first lane of Eonju-ro heading from the southern end of Seongsu Bridge intersection toward the Dosan Park intersection and causing a five-vehicle pileup by crashing into the car in front and others.
A's blood alcohol concentration was reportedly at a level that warrants license revocation.
In the crash, one pregnant woman riding in the car in front of A was injured and taken to a hospital.
