At Da Nang International Airport in Vietnam, some Korean travelers were seen taking off their shoes, exposing bare feet, and putting their feet on chairs and tables in the lounge.
On the 16th, a post and photos titled "I saw an embarrassing scene at the Da Nang airport lounge" were uploaded to an online community.
In the photos, travelers in the airport lounge have taken off their shoes and put their bare feet on sofas or tables.
The poster, identified as A, said, "A few days ago, while waiting for a late-night flight, a group who appeared to be Korean were sleeping in the lounge with their feet up on the adjacent chair," and added, "Another person even lay down with their feet on a dining table."
They continued, "There were not many foreigners, but they looked dumbfounded, and I felt my face burn as a Korean in front of the Vietnamese staff," and criticized, "I understand resting when tired while traveling, but shouldn't we keep at least minimal manners in shared spaces?"
A also added, "You should not behave carelessly just because it is a slightly less affluent country. I hope Koreans will be courteous and show a good example wherever they are."
