Lee & Ko (Managing Partner Kim Sang-gon) said on the 10th that it has recruited Ryu Geun-hyeok, a former second vice minister of health and welfare, as a senior adviser.
Adviser Ryu will join Lee & Ko's healthcare team. After graduating from Inha University's department of public administration, he earned a master's in public health from Swansea University, Wales, in the United Kingdom, and a doctorate in public health from Inje University. After passing the 36th higher civil service exam in 1992 and entering public service, he worked at the Ministry of Health and Welfare for 30 years, serving as director general of health policy, Spokesperson, director general of policy planning, director general of pension policy, and head of the population policy office.
Ryu also served as secretary for social policy at the Presidential Office and as the second vice minister of health and welfare, overseeing a wide range of related policies, including health, medical care, food, pharmaceuticals, and disease policy.
