A Korean travel influencer fell to her death while taking photos at a popular volcanic tourist destination in Mongolia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a woman in her 20s, identified as A., fell to her death on the 28th of last month at Uran Togoo Volcano in Bulgan Province, Mongolia. A. reportedly met with an accident while traveling in northern Mongolia and had about 90,000 followers.
A representative from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted, "A. is presumed to have lost her balance and fallen due to a sudden strong gust of wind while taking photos atop the volcano," adding, "The exact circumstances of the accident are under investigation in cooperation with local authorities."
Uran Togoo Volcano, at an elevation of approximately 1,680 meters, is considered a representative volcanic terrain tourist site in Mongolia. The crater's diameter ranges from 500 to 600 meters and its depth measures 50 to 60 meters, featuring meadows and small puddles inside, presenting a unique landscape.
Uran Togoo is an extinct volcano located near Hovsgol Lake and is popular as a trekking route. It is particularly known as a frequently visited spot by Korean tourists.
