BAE, KIM & LEE LLC announced on 4th that it has recruited former Deputy Chief of the Office for Government Policy Coordination Kim Jong-moon as an advisor. Advisor Kim is expected to support policy-related responses, including regulatory responses, within the BAE, KIM & LEE LLC regulatory group.
Advisor Kim graduated from Korea University with a degree in public administration and obtained a master's degree in public administration from Seoul National University and a master's degree in international development from Duke University. After passing the 37th civil service examination for general administrative positions with the top score in 1993, he served in various key positions at the Office for Government Policy Coordination for over 30 years, including as the Director of Planning and Comprehensive Policy, Director of Regulatory Comprehensive Policy, and Director of the Regulatory Coordination Office.
He worked as a minister at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore from 2019 to 2022 and was appointed as secretary for national agenda at the presidential office in 2023 and as Deputy Chief of the Office for Government Policy Coordination in 2024. He has been evaluated as having extensive experience in regulatory improvement, having led the Regulatory Judgment Division, the Regulatory Innovation Strategy Meeting, and the establishment of the Regulatory Innovation Promotion Team.
