An accident occurred at a construction site for an apartment in Seongdong District, Seoul, where a worker in his 50s fell.
According to fire authorities and others on the 3rd, a report was received indicating that a worker surnamed A, in his 50s, fell at the construction site of Cheonggye Riverview Xi around 9:45 a.m.
It is reported that Mr. A fell from a height of 15 stories while working. He was transported to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest but died.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Administration are reportedly conducting an investigation into the accident site and the person in charge of the site.
Meanwhile, the apartment construction site where the accident occurred is scheduled to be completed in 2027.
