A video shot with a Samsung Galaxy smartphone at the music festival 'Lollapalooza' in Chicago, U.S., is gaining unexpected attention for its surprising twist.
According to the Hindustan Times on the 12th (local time), influencer Brian posted the video on his Instagram with the caption, "When you can't go to Lollapalooza but have a Samsung."
The video features a performance by singer Dominic Pike, which was held live at Grant Park in Chicago last month.
At first glance, it appears to have been filmed on site, but the actual filming location was reported to be the 360 Chicago Observation Deck (94th floor), about 2 miles (3.2 km) away from the performance venue. The video captures the performance venue's electronic billboard and gradually zooms out, sequentially showing the audience and the skyline of downtown Chicago. In the end, a spider caught in a screen was revealed.
Shortly after posting, the video surpassed 6 million views. When asked about the camera model used for filming, Brian responded, "Galaxy S23 Ultra." Released in February 2023, this model features a telephoto lens capable of 10x optical zoom, and when utilizing the 'Space Zoom' function, it can zoom in up to 100 times.
Comments included reactions like, "More powerful than a Samsung advertisement," "At first, I thought the picture quality was poor, but by the end, I was left speechless," and "I want to buy it right now." In response, the Samsung Electronics U.S. mobile account left a comment saying, "Wherever you are, you get the best seat," along with the hashtag "#withGalaxy."
