Singer Hwangbo recalled an unfair incident she experienced while crossing the Israeli border, where she was subjected to a body search.
On the 28th, Hwangbo appeared on KBS2's 'Problem Child in House' where, when asked about the 'most unfair thing' in her life, she began, 'Strangely, I always get caught at airports or border checkpoints.'
Hwangbo, who traveled abroad with broadcasters Song Eun-yi and Kim Sook in the past, reportedly underwent a customs inspection to cross the border from Israel into Jordan.
Song Eun-yi recalled, 'It was a place to cross the border on foot, so we crossed with our bags, and only Kim Sook and I passed (the customs inspection). Hwangbo came out after a while and when I asked her, she said she was taken away by a soldier with a sneer.'
Hwangbo said, 'They called me out at the border checkpoint and told me to take off all my clothes in some room. I had to completely undress, even my underwear. An Israeli female soldier searched me. I didn't feel good about being investigated by a female soldier,' and she asked, 'Do I look like a killer?'
At that time, Hwangbo was the only one among nearly 20 companions to undergo an additional body search.
The panelists remarked to the unfair Hwangbo, 'Did you not look like a beautiful spy?' and 'Maybe Hwangbo looked exotic, which is why this happened.'
Hwangbo expressed her frustration at being misunderstood due to her strong impression, being labeled an 'official refund squad' or a heavy smoker. Hwangbo stated, 'I've never asked for a refund in my entire life. And I have never smoked. Yet, people constantly ask me, 'Do you have a lighter?' every time they see me.'
