On the same day, the mayor posted on social media (SNS) with the title "Let's start again from the people's perspective."
He congratulated Jang Dong-hyuk, the new leader, saying, "This is a more difficult time for conservatism and the party than ever before."
The mayor also stated, "The people have been watching our party's image coldly since the impeachment crisis, and we must give hope to those struggling to make ends meet and become a party that young people worried about the future can rely on."
The mayor further expressed, "If we acknowledge our differences and achieve harmony, just as timely rain fosters growth, the People Power Party will bring about prosperity for the people," and added, "I will also do my best to support the party that advances solely for the people's livelihood."
