A business owner who installed a hidden camera in a women's restroom of a bar in a bustling area of Busan was caught by the police.
The Busan Busanjin Police Station stated on the 26th that they have sent a 20-year-old man, identified as Mr. A, without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).
Mr. A is accused of hiding a mobile phone in the women's restroom of the bar he operated in Busanjin District to film women's body parts.
The police began their investigation after receiving a report from the victim around 9:20 p.m. on July 8.
Mr. A reportedly went into hiding the day after the report was filed but later submitted a written statement to the police.
A police official said, "I cannot provide details about the investigation."
