It has been revealed that not only the son-in-law but also the daughter participated in the crime of a woman in her 50s who stabbed her husband's vital body parts with a weapon at a café in Ganghwado, Incheon.
The Incheon District Prosecutors' Office Criminal Division 2 (Director General Kim Hee-young) announced on the 25th that they have arrested and indicted A (57, female) and her son-in-law B, in his 30s, on charges including attempted murder.
The prosecution noted that A's daughter, C, a woman in her 30s and B's wife, also participated in tracking the victim's location and has been indicted without detention for violating laws concerning location information protection and use.
A is accused of trying to kill her husband D, a man in his 50s, by stabbing him multiple times in the face and arms with a weapon around 1 a.m. on the 1st at a café in Ganghwa County, Incheon.
B is reported to have participated in A's attempted murder by binding D with tape at that time.
D was transferred to a hospital by the 119 emergency unit that responded to the report, underwent surgery, and it was reported that his life is not in danger.
After receiving the case from the police on the 7th, the prosecution conducted supplementary investigations including digital forensics and analysis of communication and internet materials, confirming that A's daughter C tracked the victim's location through a private investigation office.
A is known to have claimed during the investigation that she committed the crime because she suspected her husband's infidelity.
The prosecution believes that A exhibited symptoms of jealousy and became excessively obsessed with her husband, which led her to commit the crime.
A prosecutor stated, "C has been identified as the stepdaughter of the victim D," adding, "We are collaborating with the Crime Victim Support Center to provide the victim with medical expenses."
