Thursday, the 21st will see continued heat. A tropical depression will bring showers in various locations.
According to the Korea meteorological Administration, the lowest morning temperature on the 21st is forecasted to be between 22 and 27 degrees, with a highest daytime temperature between 30 and 35 degrees. Expected lowest and highest temperatures in major cities are Seoul 25 degrees and 32 degrees, Incheon 26 degrees and 30 degrees, Daejeon and Gwangju 25 degrees and 34 degrees, Daegu 25 degrees and 35 degrees, Ulsan 24 degrees and 33 degrees, and Busan 26 degrees and 32 degrees.
Due to the tropical depression moving toward Kyushu from the southern sea off Jeju, a total of 5 to 40 mm of rain is expected in Jeju from dawn until the afternoon. Showers will occur in the metropolitan area, northern inland Gangwon, northern mountainous regions of Gangwon, and in the southern provinces from dawn until the afternoon.
Ozone levels will reach 'bad' levels at times in Gyeonggi, Jeonnam, Daegu, and North Gyeongsang in the afternoon. High ozone levels can adversely affect respiratory systems and sensory organs, so those with related health conditions or the elderly should avoid going out in the afternoon.
Fog will be thicker near inland rivers, lakes, and roads adjacent to valleys than in surrounding areas, so be cautious about traffic safety.
Sea waves will reach 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea and South Sea, and 0.5 to 1.0 meters in the West Sea.
Wave heights in the inner sea (about 200 km offshore from the coastline) are expected to be 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the East Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the West and South Seas.
