A high school student who threatened to detonate explosives ahead of a reunion of university students and the producer from the KBS documentary 'Documentary 3 Days' has been arrested by the police.
The Andong Police Station in North Gyeongsang Province announced on the 15th that it arrested a high school student A (teenager) residing in Dongdaemun District, Seoul, on suspicion of threatening to detonate explosives at the old Andong Station plaza.
Around 7:37 a.m. that day, A left a message in the YouTube live broadcast chat saying, 'I will detonate explosives at the former Andong Station plaza.' Approximately 300 citizens were gathered at the scene to witness the reunion of the 'Documentary 3 Days' cast, and a KBS filming team was also preparing.
The police confirmed A's location through tracking and arrested him around 2:25 p.m. in cooperation with the Dongdaemun Police Station. Police from nearby precincts, the initial response team from the Andong Police Station, and the police special forces were deployed to control the situation.
Meanwhile, this reunion originated from the 'Documentary 3 Days - Andong Station' episode, which aired in 2015. During that broadcast, a female university student suggested to the camera operator, 'Let's meet here on August 15, 2025,' and the camera operator agreed.
Recently, as this scene gained attention in online communities and social media, the production team posted on social media, 'Don't forget our promise in front of Andong Station at 7:48 a.m. on August 15, 2025?' They also announced that a special edition of 'Documentary 3 Days - About Time' will air on the 22nd at 10 p.m. on KBS2.
