On the morning of the 15th, a report was received stating that explosives would be detonated at the plaza in front of the old Andong Station in Gyeongbuk. Police searched the area, but no explosives were found.
According to police, at around 7:37 a.m. that day, a message indicating that bombs would be detonated at the old Andong Station plaza was posted in the YouTube live broadcast chat.
Police controlled the scene by deploying the nearby police station, the Andong Police Department's initial response team, and the police SWAT team. As a result of the search, no explosives were found, and the control was lifted around 10:20 a.m.
Police are tracking down the person who posted the bomb threat. If someone threatens to harm an unspecified number of people, they could face up to five years in prison or a fine of up to 20 million won under the crime of public intimidation.
That morning, the old Andong Station plaza was filled with broadcasting officials and citizens related to the filming of 'KBS Documentary 3 Days.' Earlier, on Aug. 15, 2015, in the early morning at the old Andong Station where trains were running, two women in their 20s who had just finished traveling were interviewed by the producer.
The producer asked those leaving Andong, "Are you sad? When you look back on this trip later, what do you think it will be like?" One woman replied, "I haven't told my (side) friend yet, but while wandering around, I thought it would be nice to do the same course again in about 10 years. I think a lot of memories will remain."
Hearing this, another woman reacted, "Sounds good, let's go! Exactly the same date," and also told the producer, "Please film another documentary. Same again." In response to this, the producer laughed and said, "Will I still be doing this then?" The three ultimately pinky swore to meet again at the same place at the same time 10 years later. The date and time they promised is 7:48 a.m. on Aug. 15, 2025.
In a YouTube video featuring this scene, the interviewed woman commented three years ago, "Was the producer still holding a camera then? See you at Andong Station on Aug. 15, 2025."
At the time of filming, the producer had left KBS, and Documentary 3 Days had also ended three years ago. However, as this incident became a hot topic, KBS announced a special edition of Documentary 3 Days to be aired on the 22nd. KBS posted on the Documentary 3 Days social media, "The promise of Aug. 15, 2015, 'Let's meet here on Aug. 15, 2025.' So we decided to go there. The story from that day 10 years ago, Special Edition of 'Documentary 3 Days' - About Time, Friday night, Aug. 22."
