The Korea meteorological Administration announced that it will issue a heat wave warning for all areas of Seoul at 11 a.m. on the 15th. A heat wave warning is issued when the maximum perceived temperature stays above 33 degrees for more than two days or when significant damage is expected due to the heat.
As of 11 a.m., heat wave warnings will be issued for most areas in Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do, particularly in southern Gyeongsangbuk-do. Heat wave advisories will be issued in addition to Seoul in southern Gyeonggi Province, Chungcheong Province, Jeollabuk-do, northern Gyeongsangbuk-do, and the eastern coast of Gangwon.
According to the Korea meteorological Administration, there will be places with showers in most parts of the country that day. The maximum perceived temperature will be around 33 degrees, and in the southern region, it will rise to around 35 degrees, making it very hot.
As of 10 a.m. that day, strong showers are occurring in areas such as Incheon, southern Gyeonggi Province, and Chungcheong Province, with rainfall of 10 to 30 mm per hour. Showers are expected in the central region and northern Jeollabuk-do and Gyeongsang Province until the afternoon. In the Gyeongsang inland, some showers will continue until the evening.
That day's daytime temperatures will be between 30 and 35 degrees, similar to or slightly higher than the previous day (25.6 to 35.8 degrees). In areas with showers, temperatures will temporarily drop, but after the showers cease, the temperature will rise again during the day in a high humidity environment, making it hot.
