Actor Lee Ji-hoon, who appeared in the movie 'The Outlaws,' is reported to have been involved in a domestic dispute at his home, leading to a police response due to allegations of domestic violence.
According to police on the 14th, a report was received on the 24th of last month that Lee Ji-hoon assaulted his wife at their home in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, in the afternoon.
Lee Ji-hoon reportedly attempted to leave the house during an argument with his wife, and a physical altercation occurred as she tried to prevent him from leaving.
The agency representing Lee Ji-hoon stated, 'While police responded to a report made by a spouse during a marital argument, there was no actual assault.'
Although the police investigated Lee Ji-hoon on charges of assault, they classified the case as a domestic protection case based on the fact that the wife did not wish to press charges.
The police further assessed that it was not a serious matter based on statements at the scene and are reportedly planning to close the case soon in accordance with the complainant's wishes not to pursue charges.
The agency said, 'We deeply apologize for causing concern to the public due to this incident,' adding, 'Both Lee Ji-hoon and his spouse feel remorseful about the situation.'
Meanwhile, Lee Ji-hoon is a KBS 20th class talent, known for his roles as a short-haired doctor in the movie 'Roller Coaster,' as detective Yang Jong-soo in 'The Outlaws' 3 and 4, and as a military minister in the drama 'Goryeo-Khitan War.'
