The Seoul Metropolitan Government lifted traffic controls in the section from Seongdong to Sanggyeco on the Eastern Circular Road and from Surak Underpass to Seongdong Junction starting at 5 a.m. on the 14th.
Earlier, the Seoul Metropolitan Government had restricted traffic on the Eastern Circular Road starting from 12:04 p.m. the previous day due to rising water levels in the Jungnangcheon River caused by heavy rainfall. Traffic resumed after 17 hours.
The water level at Jungnang Bridge rose to as high as 5.3 meters, but as of 7:30 a.m. on the same day, it is at 1.53 meters.
From midnight the previous day to 7 a.m. on the day, the total rainfall in Seoul was 148.5 mm. The highest accumulated rainfall in Dobong District, where the most rain fell in Seoul, was 260 mm.
