Kim Keon-hee's attorney stated on the 13th that "the claim that Ms. Kim is refusing to eat is not true."
The attorney for Ms. Kim said around 4 p.m. that "(Ms. Kim) is currently suffering from significant health issues, making it difficult for her to eat," adding that "the act of eating and drinking is not going well." This is a clarification regarding reports that Ms. Kim is refusing to eat.
Director General Jung Jae-wook of the Seoul Central District Court issued an arrest warrant for Ms. Kim, who is suspected of violating the Capital Markets Act, around 11:58 p.m. the previous day.
Ms. Kim is currently incarcerated at the Seoul Southern Detention Center. Her inmate number is reported to be 4398. Typically, suspects for whom arrest warrants are issued by the Seoul Central District Court are sent to the Seoul Detention Center in Uiwang, Gyeonggi Province. However, former President Yoon is currently detained at that facility. The detention center therefore requested to have "Ms. Kim placed in a different facility," and the court accepted this request.
Meanwhile, the special investigation team plans to summon Ms. Kim for the first time following her arrest on the morning of the 14th at 10 a.m.
