Law firm Jipyeong announced on the 12th that it will hold a seminar on the theme of 'The era of technology management and the future of legal services' on the 20th to commemorate the launch of the Jipyeong Technology Center.
In response to the demand for integrated services that can closely connect technology and law with business, Jipyeong is launching the 'Jipyeong Technology Center' as the first law firm in Korea and will hold a seminar on the theme of 'The era of technology management and the future of legal services' to commemorate this.
At the seminar, experts representing academia and corporations will directly present issues related to the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology and data protection, in line with the purpose of establishing the center.
The seminar will start with a welcoming speech by Im Seong-taek, a partner lawyer at law firm Jipyeong (former chief lawyer), and Kwon Hyuk-seong, a chief patent attorney at the patent law firm Jipyeong. Jeong Sang-jo, an honorary professor at Seoul National University's Law School and chairperson of the 5th and 6th Presidential Council on Intellectual Property, will present on 'The consolidation of technology and law, the current status and challenges of technology law,' and Sim Hyun-cheol, a professor at KAIST's Department of Electrical Engineering, will present on 'The present and future of embodied AI technology.'
Following that, Yoon Jeong-won, the public sector representative at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Korea, will present on 'Global corporations' AI management strategies and data protection,' and Kim Yoon-seon, a partner patent attorney at law firm Jipyeong, along with Kim Beom-hee, a partner lawyer at law firm Jipyeong and head of the Jipyeong Technology Center, will present on 'Consulting and legal responses for successful technology management.'
Kim Beom-hee, head of the Jipyeong Technology Center, said, 'Through this seminar, I hope we will explore key issues in technology management and successful case responses together, and that it will become an opportunity to share practically meaningful insights as supporters of our client corporations' technology management.'
The seminar will be held at 3 p.m. on the 20th in the auditorium on the 3rd floor of building B at the Jipyeong headquarters.
