The pre-arrest interrogation of Kim Keon-hee will be held on the 12th at the Seoul Central District Court. The special prosecutor requested the court on the 11th to detain Kim at the Seoul Southern Detention Center until the decision on her arrest is made after the interrogation.
The special prosecutor noted in a notice that morning, "At the request of the Seoul Detention Center, a petition to change the detention and custody location from Seoul Detention Center to Seoul Southern Detention Center was submitted to the court."
This seems to indicate an intention to detain her separately from Yoon Suk-yeol, the former president, who is incarcerated at the Seoul Detention Center.
The special prosecutor stated, "The special prosecutor's office will not attend the pre-arrest interrogation tomorrow, and eight people, including Director General Han Moon-hyuk, are expected to attend." It also mentioned, "Last Thursday (the 7th), a 572-page arrest opinion was submitted to the court, and today (the 11th), an additional 276-page opinion was submitted."
It is said that the arrest warrant application for Kim includes charges of violating the Capital Markets Act, violating the Political Funds Act, and allegations of mediation bribery under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes. Among the allegations under investigation by the special prosecutor, it seems to include content related to ▲ allegations of involvement in stock price manipulation of Deutsch Motors ▲ allegations of election interference in the 2022 and 2024 elections ▲ allegations of bribery requests through the Unification Church via Gunjin.
Kim's interrogation for the warrant will take place on the 12th at 10:10 a.m. at the Seoul Central District Court.
