A mother and daughter in their 60s, who ordered a red bean shaved ice but complained it had too much red bean, eventually left a malicious review, causing controversy.
On the 8th, a post titled 'There are beggars for shaved ice' was uploaded in the small business owners community 'It hurts to be a boss.'
The author, identified as A, who sells shaved ice at a department store, said, 'A mother and daughter, dressed in fancy clothes, ordered one serving of shaved ice with about 1.5 servings of toppings,' and added, 'The daughter asked for an extra bowl because there was too much shaved ice, but when we ran out of bowls and offered another disposable container, she said, 'That's fine.'
After eating about half of the shaved ice, a woman in her 60s, presumed to be the mother, reportedly demanded, 'My daughter doesn't eat red bean, and there is too much red bean, which made me upset. Please crush more ice and give it to me.'
In response, A crushed the ice again and provided one serving, but the woman asked, 'Are you just giving me crushed ice?' and requested a plate again, according to A.
A expressed, 'They complained about having too much red bean in the shaved ice and then asked for more ice, and after finishing the shaved ice, they took photos of the store and threatened to leave bad comments.' A added, 'Even after I reissued the receipt, they wrote on Naver review, 'I'm furious because the service was rude.'' A expressed astonishment at the situation.
Netizens who saw this post reacted negatively with comments like, 'They live off others their whole life,' 'It seems more so because it's in a department store,' 'There are many difficult customers who only look good on the outside,' and 'The world is large, and so are the difficult customers.'
Meanwhile, some responded, 'It seems like an excuse to order an extra iced topping after ordering a single shaved ice,' and 'We need to hear both sides.'
