Yoon & Yang LLC announced on the 11th that it has recruited Im Seo-jung, former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and Kim Dong-hwe, former Vice President of the Financial Supervisory Service, as advisors.
Advisor Im has spent over 30 years working in the core policy line of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, covering all areas of employment, labor relations, and industrial safety. After graduating from Salesian High School in Gwangju and the Department of Social Welfare at Seoul National University, she began her public service career in 1989 after passing the 32nd Administrative Examination. She served as the Director of Labor Market Policy, the head of the Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office, and the Director of Labor-Management Cooperation Policy, and in 2017 she was the head of Employment Policy, designing employment policies for the Moon Jae-in administration. From 2018 to 2020, she was the Vice Minister of Employment and Labor, and from 2020 to 2022, she served as the Senior Secretary for Employment at the Office of the President.
Advisor Kim has also worked for over 30 years in core departments of the FSS. After graduating from Jinju High School and Korea University with a degree in business administration, he joined the Financial Supervisory Service (then known as the Securities Supervisory Board) in 1989. He worked in various financial investment departments, including Investigation Division, Financial Investment Supervision Division, and Asset Management Inspection Division, holding key positions such as Director of Capital Market Supervision, Deputy Director of the Financial Investment Supervision Division, Team Leader of the Disclosure System at the Corporate Disclosure System Division, and Team Leader of the Inspection Planning Team at the Asset Management Inspection Division. From 2020 to 2023, he served as the Vice President in charge of capital markets and accounting at the FSS.
Recently, Yoon & Yang's labor group launched a new government labor policy task force by recruiting former officials from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, labor unions, and labor-specialized courts. In preparation for the new labor policy to be implemented in the second half of this year, they plan to provide consulting for pre-inspection of legal risks across all areas of human resources and labor for corporations.
This year in the first half, the Yoon & Yang Financial Group recruited former Korea Financial Investment Association Chairman Na Jae-cheol, former FSS Electronic Financial Supervision Division lawyer Lee Joo-hyung, and former FSS Bank Inspection Division lawyer Na Sung-yun, among others. In the second half, they are enhancing consultations in the fields of financial supervision, restructuring, and public policy by recruiting policy finance expert Song Kyung-ok, who previously served as Director of Compliance at the FSS and UAMCO.
