Recently, there was a scare involving an explosion threat at the main Shinsegae department store in Seoul. This time, an online post claimed that a bomb was placed at the headquarters of Nimble Neuron, a subsidiary of the game company Neptune, prompting police to track the author.
At around 2:35 a.m. on the 8th, police deployed special forces to search the building located in Sunae-dong, Bundang-gu, Seongnam. The search revealed no hazardous materials. The operation was completed around 7 a.m.
Earlier, after a post appeared on an online community stating, 'I also placed a bomb at the Nimble headquarters,' it was reported that an internet user saw this and informed the police.
A police official noted, 'Currently, the post has been deleted, so the exact upload time will be verified later,' and added, 'We are tracking the author.'
Meanwhile, on the 5th, a middle school student who posted an online threat claiming to have placed explosives at the main Shinsegae department store was apprehended, along with a person in their 20s who posted a similar warning in Jeju and Hadong, Gyeongnam.
